With dedicated treatment and care, Trevor blossomed into a healthy and handsome koala. Witnessing his transformation was truly heartwarming. In August 2019, Trevor was joyfully released back into the wild, where he belongs.
Meet Anwen: A Tale of Resilience and Healing
Our gentle female koala, "Lake Innes Nature Reserve Anwen," faced a harrowing ordeal as the third burns patient was admitted from the Lake Innes fireground. She suffered singing to 90% of her body and radiant burns to her hindquarters, along with burns to her hands and feet.
At the Koala Hospital, Anwen gracefully embraced her rehabilitation journey. After five months of nurturing care, she was triumphantly released back into the tree from which she was rescued. Anwen's resilience and triumph over adversity inspire us all.
